First launched in Bookham in December 2005 by Rosalind Thomas, Look Local has grown from humble beginnings into two substantial monthly publications. Each issue is now packed with stories of local interest, useful contacts, puzzles and advertisements from local businesses’ it is hand delivered monthly to 6,000 homes and businesses in Bookham and a fantastic 8,000 homes and businesses in the Cobham & Downside area free of charge.

The first Bookham magazine filled a mere 28 pages, but over the next twelve months, the size doubled as word spread and a loyal following grew. Today, the Bookham magazine regularly fills 80 pages or more. Our product improved each month, until we soon had quite a nice looking magazine on our hands! Look Local Magazine Cobham joined the ranks in December 2006; and is now chasing the tail of its big brother.

Look Local brings you an ever growing monthly selection of local businesses, as well as some interesting local articles and features. Regularly featured are puzzles, recipes, car test drives, reviews and coverage of local events; in fact, as much local information as we can cram into our little pages each month.

Our approach has twice landed us a national award: 'UK Community Magazine of the Month' once in October 2006 and again in July 2009.It is fantastic to be rated as one of the top local community magazines in the country.
